Where to find rear Tbird glass?

car-part.com
row52.com (seem pretty light on Thunderbirds in your area at the moment)
Facebook Marketplace
Craigslist
eBay

I see a few listed on car-part.com in Alabama, but I have no idea where you are to know how far away they are from you. Sometimes a yard might not bother listing the rear glass (or whatever other obscure part you are looking for) so I'll search for something specific to that car that I know they will list to see who has a potential donor car and then I'll contact them about the actual part I need. I do the same thing on Facebook Marketplace and Craigslist as well.

I'm betting there are a bunch of junkyards selling T-Bird parts on ebay as well that you can contact about the rear glass. Shipping could be tricky though. You may have to travel to get one. I guess it depends on how badly you really want the glass.

If you locate a supplier of new rear glass with defrost, I'm interested as well. I've got a parts car here with a rear glass but I'm not sure how to verify the defrost works. The rear defrost in my car does not work, otherwise it's fine.

If you can disconnect the glass connecter, you can check continuity with a multi meter across the defrost lines and see that its unbroken. For more detail check out this chrisfix video where he replaces the back glass of his car and does the same thing.

In the past when I've had to check these, I start by Ohm'ing out each wire; I measure a couple inches inside the H on each side. When you observe the resistance values, you will know if the wire you're on is broken because resistance will increase over the other rows (because the current has to travel through more resistive heater element material to complete the circuit). It will still be a complete circuit with positive continuity because the entire grid is technically one big wire even with a broken row, but resistance will increase a bit. That's how I ID a row that has a break that needs to be repaired.

I don't think anyone has new glass. If so they probably want a fortune or shipping would be astronomical. Salvage yards are the way to go.

Safelite can get them and install but it's not cheap something like 400 or 500 I think

I called the local Safelite here in Seattle when I needed door glass about two years ago and they said they did not have any glass for a car "that old".

Translation: We don't usually sell door glass and we are too busy and/or too lazy to look. I had the windshield in our '97 replaced a couple of years ago and they (not Safelite, but a local glass place) had it in stock. I've never had to have the rear glass installed on anything so I don't know what they normally stock as far as those go.

That's funny. I had one replaced on my 96 in March of this year at Safelite. Just under $300.
