Not to sure on what parts I would need to fix my shift knob. When shifting into low or second, the plastic dust cover recesses into the assembly, (seems a bit of the plastic is broken). If anyone has the entire assembly, or even just the plastic bits I'd be willing to buy them. And any advice on how to fix it would also be appreciated!

Id pay up $100 depending on condition for the whole automatic shift knob assembly , or shipping and $10 for the plastic bits if your able to walk me through how to replace them. :)

I  think i have a set of the plastic sliders (= dust covers) somewhere. I'll check. It's three pieces.

Alternatively, you can make your own single-piece slider from black plastic, such as from a file folder. Put leather on top if you want to be fancy.

I have a bit of a shift knob modding obsession. Here's a thread with all my projects, including many pictures:

Process to replace dust covers:

[As with all directions, follow at your own risk.]
  • Open armrest storage; remove two screws from console top plate
  • Fasten parking brake and secure vehicle using wheel chocks (safety first!); turn key to first detent; shift into Neutral for easier access
  • Lift console top plate; disconnect wiring harness
  • Remove U-clip from front of shift knob
  • Disconnect connectors for shift indicator illumination and for O/D button
  • Remove three screws from shift indicator
  • Gently work shift knob free (don't try to turn it)
  • Once it is a bit loose, raise shift indicator and ensure overdrive wire is free (it may be attached with clips
  • Lift up shift knob and shift indicator
  • Separate the two and remove sliders
Hope I didn't miss anything. Install in reverse order; ensure that the shift indicator fork is seated on the pin on the shifter assembly.

Clarification:
You want to keep the overdrive wires in the shift knob! They  can be pulled out (they're attached to a white piece of plastic that slides into the shift knob from the bottom), but it's a pain to get them back in.

Don't pull up the knob with excessive force; you risk pulling out the wires by accident.
