I've been putting all this time into the red car and I have unfortunately found a 1992 SC with potentially no rust in my neighborhood. Looks like it's been sitting for a while, but on the street. Gonna try and buy it.

Anyone watch the SNL special last night?
I had forgotten about the band Fear, who introduced a bunch of people to punk in the 80's.
Moshing was called slamdancing then, but seeing it on snl in 81 was awesome! Best moshpit I was ever in was Pantera, as the front band for Skid Row.

Not to bring up any unwanted memories, but what was the name of that "special" person over at TSTSNBN?
 
Which one? We had the idiot we cbanned a hundred times, j miller, freddy, and the guy that spent his retirement cash on his bird,destroyed it getting stuck in traffic,and selling it for scrap, among many others. :)

Wow!? There were so many! Not sure which one you’re thinking of.

There was one exchange with a rather naive member, can’t remember his username, who made a rather trite post once. The reply - also from someone I don’t remember - was priceless.

He said of the young kids post “… words of wisdom from the mall kiosk.” That reply gave me a good laugh.

I think this is a new record for fastest tax refund. I filed my return on 1/28 and the IRS received it on 1/29. It's already showing as pending in my account.

Last year I filed on 2/4 and got the refund on 2/15.

My experience has proven that you will not make more power than a 4.6L 4-valve unless you have a custom 5.4L 4-valve cam made to take advantage of the lift and duration of the the engine along with more fuel and high flowing intake, intake manifold and exhaust system!

Most/all of the posts I can find from him are talking about buying a brand new complete SVO intake or supercharger and then selling them two weeks later on craigslist.

I remember that one, I thought it was titled (or in a thread titled) something like (tstsbn)....in a nutshell - but I can't find that either.

If @General Zod happens to see this, maybe he can resurrect it. :)

I bought the entire TR3650 assembly from that guy, minus the pedals.

Coming across the pedals is the reason why I dropped the idea of building up my AT. I even had a 93 driveshaft ready to go for it too, lol.
 
On rock auto, you can get a case of 12 for $4.55ea. Actually slightly less with a discount code. I order them that way for the shop, but even if you were just buying for personal use, they won’t go to waste, especially having 2 cars that take the same filter.
 
I usually stock up on oil filters from RockAuto. That and wiper blades are much cheaper. I actually use the Ford 3.8 filter on my Saturn for a little more capacity.
 
Fusion CEL started flashing on the way home from church today. It's got an awful misfire. Drives just fine in EV mode and there's no obscene noises, so I don't think it is CVT related. It has 179k on the clock, so the known CVT issues would have surfaced by now if it was going to have them. I'm guessing a bad coil pack. If you subtract the EV miles off the odometer, the engine only has 110k on it. It's still running the original plugs and coils.

I somehow lost my Forscan cable in our last move. Luckily, Amazon had one in stock with same-day delivery. Now I'm just sitting here waiting on it.
 
I wish ours had an EV only odometer. It shows trip EV miles, but not lifetime. It also shows MPG, not MPGe; I wonder what universe Ford lived in at the time where electricity was free.
 
Flashing CEL is always a misfire. If you want to be sure what failed without spending any money, move the coil and plug from the misfiring cylinder to different cylinders, clear the codes and see where the misfire goes.

Mine shows total EV miles if you hit the down arrow on the left side of the steering wheel at the key-off trip summary. I just subtract it from the odometer to get engine miles for maintenance purposes.

New cable just arrived. Watching this NASCAR race and then I'll go scan it.
