Looks just like my Duratec 2.0, that engine is a joy to work on, not that it needs much attention
That's all it is. Has an Atkinson crank but otherwise it's almost identical. Impeccable setup when paired with the eCVT and battery. Probably the best product to come out of Dearborn since 1998.

Maybe a dumb question, but are our cars ECUs CANBUS systems? I'm looking at digital clusters and a lot of them state they only work with CANBUS

Edit: they aren't.

Our ECUs are barely electronic, much less anything close to a CAN system.

Seriously ? 🤔
I've had mine for 12 years and 179k. This was its first ever CEL and its first ever breakdown.

I've also helped no fewer than ten people buy ones off the used market and every one of them have had the exact same results as me. They are a stellar car and Ford should have never axed it.

How did you come to this conclusion ?
I didn't. I just felt like annoying you.

I messed up the hole for the amp. 2" too high and now Joann fabric no longer has the fabric in stock. Any other leads on something that matches this close?

Edit: Amazon has the same brand, so giving that a try.. It's AbbyShea, if you ever need it.

Guess not. Meh. I don't blame you for not wanting to create a SM account.

I might be getting rid of my Sable for a LeSabre, my mom’s aunt passed and we’re going to be cleaning out the house once it gets a little warmer.

I know, I know a GM. Shame on me.

But, my sable needs a torque converter, and most shops want around $2k to do it, and I just don’t feel like spending that on a 26 year old car with 160k that I drive 100 miles a day, even though it’s pretty clean.

If the Buick isn’t worth taking I’ll just keep driving the Sable till the torque converter explodes lol.

Those LeSabres are actually really reliable! The 3800/4T65 combo will literally run forever. They are also pretty comfortable on long drives, so if you’re racking up 100mi/day, I would definitely take the LeSabre.
I sat it in and it’s like night and day between that and my Sable, the lower portion of my seat in the sable literally has no cushion left and it’s starting to get uncomfortable.

Take the LeSabre and don’t look back. Ford has its strengths, and the sable ain’t one of them, GM has its strengths and the 3800 powertrain IS one. Both are ugly, but Buick hands down 😆

I'll get photos later but I'm tired of liking these old dodge trucks. Main dash is disintegrating, and over the weekend the frame opened up from rot spots.

Dodges are dodgey, that’s what makes them so likable!

Anyone ever have so much work that they feel that they can't catch a break to get stuff done that they really want to get done but can't because everything else is a priority that shouldn't be a priority, but because it's coming from the biggest boss it gets bumped to #1 on the priority list? Oh, and then there's the meetings that you gotta do with clients too that eat into your project / task time for these other priority projects.

Yeah....

It's all good though.

Yep, been there, done that. We are about to start leaning a new job. I don't look forward to it. Humans hate change.

As someone told me recently... "you can vent here, this is a safe place." I about fell out my chair....
