I thought it was a Thunderbird joke at first, but they actually are. You would think with that many spokes in the wheel design, they wouldn't be directional.
They were just placed in front of the wheels on the car. I still need to clean them up, get new center caps, and get new tires. Or switch the ones currently on the stock wheels.

So my wife's uncle is going through a divorce. 2/3 of his kids don't talk to him for whatever reason, they're punks / assholes / whatever you want to call them. The 3rd kid talks to him, but lives out in VA.

So because of said divorce and no communication with 2/3 kids and his last kid not being nearby, I'm the only other male figure to inherit stuff.

Uncle is giving me a wild combination of awesome stuff, useful stuff, and random useless shit because he needs to wind down his possessions.

I feel bad for him for all that he's going through and the double whammy is that his kids don't talk to him.

The other part of me receiving this stuff is, where the fuck am I going to put it? My garage is currently nearly unusable I've got so much shit in there and now I'm getting more shit in there...

If you can afford it, put these things in a storage unit and offer to give them back once the divorce is finalized

Costco has sheds right now for $499.

The irony of this is that my wife and I want to build our own shed from scratch.

It's a project we want to do, but we have other things going on that makes us not ready for a shed.

Get a small storage unit.

A 5x10 is like $80 a month in NJ. Which is a may not be California expensive but it's a close comparison

I have to look into it and see.

There's stuff in here I can definitely purge. Like Mercron III ATF, diesel additives, and random accessories that I know I have no use for.

You can get a 10' x 15' storage for the first month for $1 ($157/mo thereafter).
You can store the shit, help sell off the stuff you don't want, and build that shed in 30 days if you get cracking

Current status of my garage. I can't walk in it 😑😞.

Dude,
I thought you were in my garage until i saw the 60 Gal Dewalt air compressor was missing. i've been there for like 15 years and I keep telling the wife nothing can go on the to do list until we negotiate 5 things come off. just wait til kid goes in attic to get christmas decorations down and steps thru the drywall ceiling. What fun it is to be a home owner.

Mine is worse; Presx,Drill press, engine on stand, transmission on stand and on worktable, all covered with 6 years of dust, since my stroke. :(

I'm currently working on redoing my exterior garage wall, which will take care of some space. What I really need to get done is get Dirty Bird road worthy so all those parts can come off the shelves on the left side, to open up that shelving so that organizing can actually begin. But I still need more parts to come in for Dirty Bird to get worked on.

They could do an episode of Storage Wars with your garage!

You're telling me! 😂

Your garage looking that way is completely understandable. Mine looking this way, isn't.

Does anyone know if coyote followers will work with my dohc heads?
I've got to buy lifters too. Out of 3 sets of dohc lifters(48), I hat 4 that worked. Looks like trickflow is lowest price. 11ea vs 45ea for ford.

In the past when dealing with clean-outs for moves or deceased relatives, I've gone through and pulled out all the things I wanted/needed to keep after selling the valuables I didn't want. Once that was done, I held a yard sale for everything else.

Depending on how much crap I needed gone, I would advertise a $5-10 entry fee that entitled you to take anything you wanted. No questions asked, no strings attached. You pay me the entry fee and everything you want in that garage is yours for the taking. At the end of the day, what little was left ended up on the curb for trash day.

Easiest garage sale and house clean-out ever.

Got my Honda "fixed" today.

Took her to a muffler shop and had them just straight pipe it. She runs so much better now, it's awesome. She sounds better too!

Now I just need to get her fixed properly and she'll be a happy camper.

Coyote followers are way different. Pretty sure the lash adjusters are too.

Crankcase breather grommet on the truck is cracked and popping a vacuum leak code. New grommet was $5.

Pre-children John would have ordered the chrome Mopar valve covers and breather because it came with a free grommet included.

I miss pre-children John.

Tell me about it.

These are the sorts of things that @theterminator93 has to look forward to! 😂

Not sure this is a stupid question, but more of a wondering if anyone has experience. My Cougar was bought by me, but under my dad's name. I was 17, so insurance costs, etc.... anyway, when he passed my mom and I put the title in both of our names. Now that I'm married, I want to remove my mom. I'm thinking her and I sign as sellers and me as buyer. Anyone have title experience similar to this to confirm?

I think the situation varies state by state. What is acceptable in Texas, it's completely different in California. I know CA uses the sales price of a vehicle to set the registration costs but set it too low and they do their own math.

MIght be worth a chat with your DMV

That's my plan if no-one here had a certain answer.

Depends on the state. Some states do "AND / OR" titling. In Tennessee, if the names are separated by an "OR", then no action is needed and one person can sign off on any ownership decisions. If it says "AND", then both have to.

North Carolina didn't use that method. If multiple names were on the title, they all had to sign for it.

Most states also don't charge any sort of sales tax or transfer tax when parents/children swap vehicles. Shouldn't apply in your case since you are already on the title as an owner.

Iowa is like Tennessee on this case. Since it was OR, I was able to sell it to myself and get the title in my name. Annual fee is $50, and there were excess fees of $75 due to the long time unregistered. Total was $169, so not nearly as bad as I thought it may be
