I wouldn’t say it’s a great example, it’s a bit hodgepodge with XR7 turbine wheels painted wrong and aftermarket badges. Plus the headlights are yellow. It’s a nice car but for the collectors throwing around money it’s not an original car.

I love dark humor so much that IG's algorithm apparently thinks that I have a high probability of a self-induced forever nap. It sent me some ads telling me that I may need help.

Is there a line somewhere between having that desire and just liking that type of humor? 🤔

I think spending any extended amount of time on there should merit that disclaimer, IG is a depression factory
 
IG's behavioral algorithms and ability to respect user commands are fucking off-the-charts stupid.

I see idiotic AI slop. I tell it to not show me any more crap from that account. Then it continues to show me that crap on refresh. I then report that slop on principle because a commercial airliner taking off into a tsunami was one of the dumbest fake things I've ever seen, but I interacted with it, so now I get even more of it. Now I have to click through those stupid posts to go to the account, and then block the account. IG takes that as a cue to recommend me similar accounts because I interacted with the account that I just blocked. Rinse and repeat with far-right slop as well. Even when I try to deliberately alter the algorithm's recommendations, it doesn't seem to work, so no amount of watching ridiculous BeamNG.drive gameplay with exploding Teslas is getting bootlicking propaganda off my feed.

That and the occasional possible suspicious activity detected warnings and even a useless 1-day suspension over the weekend from being allowed to run multiple concurrent sessions, probably because I looked at it while on VPN.

I haven’t logged into mine in over a year and I cannot imagine how bad the AI slop has gotten. I see some of it in my FB feed when I occasionally check it so it must be tenfold on my IG by now.

YouTube is similar, all autoplays get counted as watched so if you scroll slow enough, every single thing you scrolled past will be in your history and your entire feed will be littered with crap your not interested in. Luckily you can mostly fix it manually deleting the watch history there.
 
At least with Facebook and YouTube, I have ways to get a cleaner experience. For Facebook, there's FB Purity and I don't use social media apps on mobile anymore. As for YouTube, my watch history is disabled and I have ReVanced on mobile and extensions on all my desktop browsers so I always have a completely blank home page feed. The only places where I see any recommendations are in the right rail of the comment section or the end cards of the currently playing video, both of which I could also disable if I wanted to.

I used to hold IG in higher regard, but Meta really enshittified it over the last few years. You can't sort search results by date anymore and the results are broken as they often partially repeat on lazy load.
