I was driving a super clean, less than 40k mile 84 Lincoln Mark VII that got totalled by a hit&run driver on an ice-covered road. I did not have full coverage on the car that I only paid $3500 for a year earlier. A semi-local dealer had advertised that they had 7 "executive driven" demo Super Coupes ( I had also been looking at an early 90s blue&white Corvette. Since I never wanted a dime-a-dozen car (Mustang or Camaro), and didn't want to be car poor by spending $6k more on the Corvette, I ended up buying the black 92 SC that I test drove. It only had 11,608 miles when I bought it and hit more than 100 mph on my drive home
I still own this car. It has more than 150k miles, has had 3 different engines and 11 ( not a typo) transmissions in my quest to go semi-fast. In hindsight, the Corvette would have been cheaper, but I would not have met many of the best friends that I have because of the SC.
I actually have never sold an MN12, and currently own 6.5 of them.
