My Red Cougar

Tuner that is taped together, with the tune on it wont program :( So, I have another unlocked one that I bought for the contour, and never bought the code for, then sold the car. Dude still hasn't put the koni's on it, lol.
So I found the dongle figured out how to add value files again, and rewrote a tune for it. Pi engine, 24lb injectors, the diff file and trans files Brandon sent me , and 'Im ready to program it.

Damn! Nice engine! That's the engine that is my Town Car. Best engine ever.
Dude, if you've never done the front cover stuff I listed above, your chains are prone to breakage, and there is probably chunks of the slides in the oil pickup screen. It was a widespread problem in the 2003-2007 era.
You need iron tensioners with a latch, new sliders, new crank gears and chains, and an oil pan cleanout.

Finally got to the pix of my cars!

Trouble coming up looking at the beer: “ Heineken??? Fuck that shit! Pabst! Blue! Ribbon!!!” Good kitty 😆

E4 Red is my favorite 96 Cougar color. Right when I bought mine a 96 sport with the 7 spokes and spoiler in that color was in traffic and I was so envious, as I love bright red.

This car looked awesome when I parked it; now the clear is burnt off, and the paint is degraded. That color is freaking expensive! Best I've seen is $400+ a gallon.
This year, I'm going to wash 15 years of crud off, and wax the hell out of it. The hood is rusty, the duplicolor paint peeled the original paint off.
I'm going to see if I can get the hood sanded and primered. I'll repaint with e4. I've got two spots that were repaired, and the bondo cracked.
I'll drill that shit out, and use something that won't crack. Looks like somebody hit a mailbox, lol. dent on hood, dent above drivers A pillar.

That reminds me: how far from the rear edge of the trunk to the rearmost spoiler bolt on a Cougar?

How precise do you want? I won't take mine off, but I bet I can eyeball it within 1/8"

A tape from a straightedge on the rear to the back of the post would be perfect, it doesn't need to come off.

You don’t need to be too precise about it, I deliberately mounted mine 1/2” to 1” further back than a regular sport, the outer posts are about 1-1/4” from the curved edge of the trunklid

Going to see if I can get that on tomorrow.
I'm thinking of making the leds into a cylon eye, scanning back and forth, but all on with the brakes.
Cop bait?

That would look awsome... but a moving red light would probably get you pulled over pretty quick at night

Cybertruck has a Cylon looking animation, but it's not red.

I hope on a future software update it gets added to my model Y, don't know if that possible though.

You just know I had one on my 83 (nightryder-style firebird, lol.
