Back at the College today to do some plumbing work on these two brand fucking new Hunter alignment machines .. so the students can learn how to not do an alignment on an IRS vehicle. 🤭

That was my Dad’s first car, same amount of adjustability to the rear suspension as my first car…apparently 😆

You mean that crappy dodge ? 🤔

Back on the topic of racks .. one of the girls there had so much cleavage, Im willing to bet theres a 10mm socket somewhere in her bra. 😉

Kids on an E bike… in the street, in the rain, riding at speed(they got as fast as 45 at one point), and they blew a light and cut me off. Once again great parenting!

That was the best part of going back to college, lol. didn't get a lot of action, being 42, but I know how to find the right ones. :)
Dan, I had a buddy in hs that had a dodge like that we used to race, if you rode in it around town, your neck would be sore the next day. :)

The rear bumper cover cover looks like it's still in decent shape. 🤷‍♂️

And is that an engine on top of the hood? It looks like an engine from another vehicle altogether.

Someone tossed a FWD transmission into the windshield.

The day is pretty much wrapped up and birthday shenanigans are over. Day was great, and spent most of it with my boy go-karting. We hit up our local K1 track first and did two races there. He's finally tall enough to drive the adult go-karts and he was super excited about that. The last time we were there, he could only ride on the little kid track. And for it being his first time on this track, I'd say he did really well! His PB was 28.396 on his second run on the adult track.

Then we hit up another go-kart track, SB Raceway, where there we did three races. They just redid the layout so it was a "new track" for both of us. Even here at SB Raceway, my boy did great. For only being 11, he sure does know how to drive. He definitely has room for improvement, as do I, but he's showing great aptitude for driving already.

Time "slips". I have hard copies and will hold on to them for a few more days, probably.

After that, we went to gas up, and this douchebag of a Tesler owner was hogging up a pump. There were plenty of other spots, but this is where they decided to park their car at.

After fueling up, we went and met up with the rest of my family, my dad, and MIL for birthday dinner.

After dinner, I went and got my birthday drink at Starbucks.....at 9:35pm....

All in all, it was a great day to spend my 42nd lap around the sun.

Is that the rule?

One thing I do see regularly are bio hazard warning stickers, usually on cars with blood in the interior.
Now I'm no expert. However it has been my experience that cars that people have died in get held for insurance and legal reasons.
I've seen some biohazard stickers on cars here and there in the pic a part yard. But not too often. And they are never terrible in my experience. I've personally seen cars people have died in, and they get held for a long time in certain places.

Fyi there is no blood in that Tbird. But it sure is messed up. Heck look back a couple months. I posted a picture of another one that was pretty bad. But not this bad.

I asked to see the towncar I got the red cougar engine out of, and it was the worst I've seen. rear bumper was just behind the front seats; the ds went thru the trans, and out the side. From the headprints on the a-pillars, to the blood in the drivers seat, they didn't make it, either side. :(

How are cars that were involved in a fatality handled differently?
From my experience working in auto insurance, it wasn’t any different. The police would usually hold fatal vehicles for investigation, sometimes they would let us inspect them while in their possession, and sometimes we couldn’t inspect them until they were finished with their investigation, but once the car was inspected, we proceeded with the claim, picked up the car, and sent it to auction and paid for the value of the vehicle. The only exception to that I ever saw was I had to inspect one car where our insured was chased by her jealous ex-husband, rammed off the road, and then he shot her multiple times killing her. That one we just asked the sheriff’s department to destroy the vehicle when they were done with it.

Reminds me of the Foreclosure we had. We got the property back after a suicide, mostly not cleaned up. And if that's not bad enough the sheriff's office asked us if we wanted the freezer back that the dude had stuffed his ex wife in after he killed her. Not sure if she was still in it when they find his body or not, but I assume so. We politely asked them to junk it instead of returning it. I haven't looked up the sheriff in the area because I don't want to know if he's still in charge of that county. Obviously not very bright.

Since sedans are gone and crossovers took over it seems that way.

The Excursion is a beast at 227" ; the things just look beefy and truck-like AF. Fords current largest modern SUV is the long wheelbase Expedition/Navigator at 222". The long wheelbase models seem somewhat uncommon though, especially the Navigators. There is definitely a lot more usable passenger room in new big SUVs design.

Would love to own a nice Excursion.... I'd probably prefer a V10 model over the diesel
I have put 210k on my '04 excursion w/ 5.4 in it. With the 4.10 rear I can say it is no slouch. It is underpowered compared to the diesel and v10 (runs out of steam at a little over 3000 rpm), but as a family hauler it's fine. If I have to put new engine in I'll look to put the 7.3 godzilla in with a 6r140 and start dragging some folks around town.

If it's in the pic a part yard, no one died.
Not to sure thats true. There is one on the lot in poulan that has stickers on it that say bio-hazard on it. I attempted to get the bezel out(it was broken at the top of steering column) and I almost had it and it caught the shroud briefly and exploded into 500 pieces. I wouldn't climb in cabin due to stickers. Couldn't get in the trunk so I walked away. It has the blue footed emblem in the intact grille.

Back in the apartment days, there was a visitor who would park their excursion right next to the bird. It was definitely the shortest vehicle and the tallest sitting side by side for the whole lot of lot, both old wide fords. There was an old 4runner close by with the same paint job as the excursion, and it really just looked like a tiny excursion. I liked that old 4runner quite a bit as a result. I do admire the excursion too
