Post a picture you took today

Do you mind sharing the wheel and tire setup? I absolutely love that stance, do you get any rubbing anywhere and did you need to trim anything?
They’re Hardrock Gunner H705 wheels. 20x10 -19
Tires are 275/60/20 which is close to a 33”
I may trying going 35s when I need new tires.

It has a 2” leveling kit in the front.
I didn’t have to trim anything, and they don’t scrub at all.

Or they look at like it’s one big piece and think they hit the cat jackpot 🪚
Previous company I worked for had a fleet of Chevy Colorados. Biggest pieces of midsize :poop: you'll ever see.

Anyways. The cat was on the downpipe up in the engine bay and was inaccessible from the bottom of the car. They had a 1-in-1-out resonator behind the transmission crossmember that looked like that one in the picture. We engraved the VIN and "Property of Company name/address" on them because the theft was so bad.

A few times a year, someone from the local pawn shop would call me up and let me know the police would be dropping the box of resonators off at our shop. Every time it was a different tweaker who thought he'd hit gold only to be met by police while the shop "went to the back to get the cash out of the safe".

I dunno, sometime last week. Also, tell that to this GS400 owner as well.

But I will say that the engine bay of the IS F which I once considered has a different purpose for all of the engine bay plastic. It's hideous underneath because all the tubing and wiring crosses over the top of the block. I guess there's an engine under there somewhere.

Truly you are the exception to the rule. I work on a fair amount of Lexi. Most owners couldn't find the interior hood release much less the secondary latch on the hood.

Oh, I'm aware. 😆 Back when I got my GS400, I was wary of the Lexus owner stigma especially with the ES, RX, and LS, and didn't want anything to do with it. However, Ford's cupboard was empty because the only performance-oriented V8 RWD sedan they had was a half-assed, "drop a Cobra engine into a Panther and call it a day" effort. I was more into the 2nd gen Cadillac CTS-V at the time and may have gotten one if I was able to afford it back then.

What I didn't anticipate over the years was the GS400 becoming a secondary project car. After Elate Mfg created the UZ manifold to fit the Terminator's Eaton M112, there's a viable and relatively straightforward path for adding significant power. I may never get there because the Thunderbird will always take priority, but at least I have the option.

This is from the Torque app; bottom scale is time. I shared b\c of the trans temp, I drove her hard. ;)

What do they say: data don’t lie? :p

There are 2 tans temp PIDS in torque, I didn’t screen shot the other page with the other PID. It was much more realistic. There’s always a difference, but never huge. This is obviously bad data.

There are 2 tans temp PIDS in torque, .

I use OBD Fusion, but from what I've seen it's very similar to Torque.

When I first started monitoring ATF temps with the app, my numbers didn't make sense. Then I discovered that it converted already °F data from °C into °F, which messed up the values. I was able to fix it by editing the PID properties. Feel free to send me a message if you want screen shots. Does Torque have a PID for torque converter duty cycle?

One easy way to check the data is by connecting to the car when it's completely cold. Transmission fluid temperature should be equal to ambient temperature (or within a few degrees thereof). If that's not the case, something is wrong with that PID in the app.

Both of them were made on April 21,
If I am deciphering the tag correctly.
I would be curious how many per day went through the assembly line.

I did some quick math.
My third car was made on March 19, and it was 8825 cars before the April 21 cars.
8825 cars in 33 days is 267 cars per day.
So they were busy.
The April 21 cars were Monday cars.
That blue one has half a million kilometers on the original engine and transmission.

I took like 5 pictures of this damn thing and all of them were blurry, but you can tell what it is

Second best looking Ferrari ever IMO

I wonder if they were delivered to the same dealership? My theory is that dealership put in 2 orders for stock at the same time. It's not like they were using the Internet and hundreds of dealers were ordering at any given moment.

My FIL's was sequence number 123, rolled out on 7/29/96; mine is 4439 on 8/2.

The line worker I used to work with said full capacity was 1 car per minute.

If we assume the start of 97 production was 7/29, and if mine rolled out midday on the 2nd, that's ~4500 cars in 4.5 days or 1000/cars day or about 70% plant capacity.

My cougars are similar; the red one I acquired 6 years after the black one but it was made first. There's a identifier on the door tag that shows where it was ordered, and both my cars came from NC. The red one has sandy dirt under the carpet.
