I've already done the high pressure line conversion and have a leak between the aluminum adapter and factory line.
I've already tried using hydraulic loctite and all it seemed to do is make it worse. Do I need to replace the Teflon seal or add pipe dope or something else? I didn't cut down the adapter as in the tech article.

Factory line to the pump or the rack? If it’s to the one to the rack(as I assume) I’d most suspect it’s a leak on that elbow itself either at the rack or In the joint that attaches to the line going to the pump, as I believe there to be some internal seal/o ring. If it’s a leak in the adapter at the pump I’d just suspect either the adapter or AN line is loose.

Yes the elbow.

I'll replace the OEM seals.

For what its worth, when my pump was acting up, and leaking I took it out, rebuilt it and its been fine since, not perfect, but does its job. If your going to replace an o-ring, might look into NOT having to revisit this area again and rebuild it. Just my two cents.

Also, check your dust boots to make sure they are not torn or showing leaking around them. Just like CV joints, if the cover gets busted and it goes to long, dust and other debree can cause havoc.

Well spoke too soon leak is back. Anybody have an opinion on using an Oring or Bonded Seal with/in place of the Teflon seal?

The teflon only works because it gets squeezed into the gap like toothpaste, you'll probably need a few to get it right. RA sells them, I usually get 10 at a time. :) The pressure line at the pump really hates me, lol.

So an Oring would be a better option then.

The larger Teflon is the only one we use right?

If you have the standard pump like my 96, jt's a ~1" ring, about 1/32"square in cross section.

My issue is at the rack with adapter fitting. Just ordered a pack of 25 seals from Amazon. Now get to see if can do this without pulling everything of the drivers side again.

Well did some measuring and looks like a -15 O-ring should work.

Got a HNBR O-ring kit form Harbor Freight and decided to go with 112 O-ring. Start up test shows no leak.

Well that didn't last long.

Trying the OEM seal again, this time a 25 pack form Amazon instead of the Dorman.

Do you have the wrong high pressure line? Seriously. The adapter may be too long, too short, but basically not a good fit.

I've never had a problem with the teflon seal leaking IF it is new when installed AND installed correctly. I've had difficulty installing the teflon seal and have destroyed a couple in the process.

If you had pictures you could post that might help with diagnosis.
