My car originally had JBL with the premium cassette deck originally, but I still have all of it tucked away safe and sound. Final hint; these two things were original to my car and I’m pretty certain sought one out in Wanted (either here or TSTSNBN) in the past several years.
 
Rear reading lights. They're two out of three interior light assemblies, and my car only has one because it only has the center dome light.

But why would you need those?!

Or maybe I'm misunderstanding the hints...?

Three of them exist; you bought two; these two were stock on your car; but my car has only one.

Was my car only equipped with one? Or did I remove one?

That’s just the dome light which is standard. Only real optional lights on your car were the ones in the visors vanity mirrors
 
I was going to guess tail lights because I know you discussed an earlier style reflector panel. But I don't think the bird/cougar interchange, so 1997's couldn't be "one".

Remember it’s not something my car didn’t have in its lifetime before, so something like different taillights is straight up out of the cards(good guess though because I was actively seeking 91-93 XR7 ones, but have given up)

Also remember it’s TWO of three, not all three. Also doesn’t mean the remainder one of three is original. That’s the last last hint! C’mon this is easy!
 
I think what throws us off is that my car has only one.

I was thinking pedals. But you said those two things were original stock on your car. So my car would have the same number.

Then I was thinking mufflers. Dual vs. single? But then where does the third come from?

Your car has one of the two things I got. My car came with one of those things but currently does not. These three things are related but not necessarily related

Pedals no, and those aren’t stock 😂

Mufflers no, it has one, that’s enough haha

Climate control hasn’t arrived but that too, this I’ve sought out but finding one unfaded in the red zone has been a challenge

It’s actually been in the works for two years but I just couldn’t find a manual head in passable condition (heat mark faded to white). Two summers in a row the blower stopped blowing, one time the PWM, next the head itself(of which I have no good backups left anymore), so it’s a luxury downgrade but a big durability upgrade IMO.

Plus my car came with manual originally so it’s technically a lateral move. I’m going to leave the dash wiring alone and make an adapter harness to piggyback off it.

Other thing I can do now is add a toggle switch off the CELO soleboid and use recirculate in other positions besides MAX AC, so that’s an upgrade.

What's CELO?

I was actually considering a similar mod: I was going to wire a relay as latching relay into the A/C On circuit. I would be able to turn the mode dial into any position without activating the A/C; pushing a momentary switch would turn it on. Turning it off would be done by turning the dial to any non-A/C position.

I kind of abandoned that idea because A. I didn't want another button in the interior, and B. I figured the A/C will be healthier when it's used more (?), even when it's not necessarily needed. I drive with windows open whenever possible anyway.

Cold engine lock out. It’s a solenoid that goes inline the outside/recirculate vacuum hose , allowing vacuum to bypasses the head and close the door so your not pulling even colder outside air in until the engine warms up. It’s just a simple on/off solenoid, you can snag one and the lines off an SATC car and wire it to ignition and a switch to ground
 
Oh its scratched up nice and good, and with notes of sun damage. Thats the one thing about waxing on black, the scratches become loud. I also found some bubbling I hadn't noticed as a result. It's still fun to do, and it becomes smooth to the touch. You'll start sliding down the car once you're reaching for the tough spots
 
Was briefly warm enough this morning to throw on the rear camera for the new head unit

It’ll be neater inside when finished, gonna run it along side(and partially within the loom by the hinge) of the factory harness

Also did some more homework on the SATC to conventional climate control conversion. I’m basically going to piggyback off the existing SATC dash harness and came up with this ingenious thought… why not make an adapter connector from the one in one of my known bad SATC heads? Well I did…

TWO useful circuits lol Power and ground for the blend door, all the other pertinent manual head circuits are in the large gauge piggyback harness I’ll make. Still worth the effort lol
