Who Still Has These Rivets?

Most cars I see in junkyards have screws here, presumably from previous repairs to the front bumper cover.

Mine has rivets. Am I special?

You are on the right track. That is how they come from the factory. The get drilled out for repairs. And I've never seen anyone rivet them back on.

When I had the front clip replaced on my car 8 years ago my body guy used rivets.

I just replaced mine with plastic push-pin clips when I painted my 97.

I've riveted the '94-'95 front bumper cover back on before, though you're right that you didn't see me do it.

They're an aluminum rivet; Ralph posted a link for them on the other place. I have the link, on the old pc.

I’ve had the bumper off my car a dozen times, so I replaced the rivets with Christmas trees to make removal easier.
