I have a 91 Thunderbird of course LOL but mine is different than most for some reason I've seen others that look different I'm sure there's no difference but when I stop it to go in to passing it slipped unless I drop it down into drive wait for it to catch and then hit it I don't think it's the cable but I may be wrong any other Solutions I'd appreciate it truly and I don't need no smart-ass answers LOL

I don't think it is your problem, but the first thing I would check on any AOD is to make sure the bushing cable connector on the throttle body is there and holding the cable properly. Next thing I would check is the fluid color and smell.

Could you expand on what is happening? I'm not sure I understand your explanation for how it is working.

My tranny (4r70w) has been doing some wierd shifting crap lately too. It won't go into the next gear if you are coming on the freeway from an off ramp. Or it won't shift into 3rd from 2nd when it should, then it finally does. So I will be watching this thread closely.

A slipping AOD? You don’t say!

As was mentioned, double check that the TV cable is hooked up properly, but most likely the AOD is DOA.

And assuming the car in your avatar is yours, the reason it looks different is someone swapped an SC front bumper cover on at some point.

I'm actually the third owner on that car the guy who originally owned it ordered it with the super Coupe front and rear bumper and ground effects and I'm thinking you're pretty much right $250,600 miles on the car I'd say the aod is about DOA also I mean it could be the cable going bad like you say but I've heard other people say it could be something actually inside it I appreciate the answer though thank you
