I really miss going to the landfill, (about 1965) and shooting rats. .22 Marlin from Sears. 17 rd mag under the barrel. :)
The Ruger 10/22 I have now is way better.

Tomorrow is the annual count the homeless day for the County I work for. Because I work for the department, I need to participate, which means I need to wake up effing early AF.

Start time at my assigned site is 5:30am. It's 1hr 25min drive from home, but I'm sure I can be there in 1hr or less 😁.

This TN transplant to CA says otherwise. I know she's not from where you're from, but she might as well be because just about anyone from any other state hates on CA like you are 😂.

Also, get away from the big cities, LA, SD, and SF (which translates into the sentiment / stereotype you have of all of California), and CA is more purple than you'd expect. Where I live specifically, I'd actually consider it "burgundy".

It is beautiful out there but you have to deal with the 4 letter word I hate more than any other...CARB...neither of my birds would be anywhere near compliant anymore...no cats, egr smog pumps...they run so much better without all that crap...some of the best climate and land but the worst politics I've ever seen and that's enough to keep me from even visiting.
 
Big cities definitely suck, traffic is horrendous and there’s big ego’s everywhere. Everybody thinks they are top dog’s running the scene.

I was raised in a small city called Vernon city, which is MAINLY industrial with very few actual residents. It’s literally 10-20 mins to DTLA in no traffic.

I HARDLY venture out there mainly due to the crowds and the phucking homeless. I’m not sure if you guys have ever heard of skid row, if not I suggest you watch aYT video on it, shit is REDICULOUS. Those people seem to enjoy living like that, no job, no curfew, no rules. Obviously some people are there due to mental problems and what not but not all. I used to deliver there before and hated even trying to park.

I will say, the smog situation does suck ass. The going rate to do the OG smog is about $300.

Besides that, I wouldn’t want to live anywhere else. The weather is always great and I can literally drive my car any day of the year with out having to worry about rust chewing my ride up.

Politics aside, nobody really cares except white liberal women and liberal latinas, the worst haha

I can’t get the video to play but I don’t particularly like TN either, even with the BS I don’t like about CA I’d still rather be there more than like 45 other states lol

I think that applies to most states, Illinois is a blue state because of Chicago and the surrounding suburbs but get outside the metropolis the rest of the state is basically Iowa. I don’t particularly care about the politics, it’s little different from here besides our “Leno law” actually became reality like 20 years ago and weren’t *as* raped on the gas tax
 
In the 70's TN was a completely different place, laid back, everyone minded their own business, very liberal. Roads were great, small business booming. Then came Nixon's 'war on drugs. Then as now, brown people bear most of the busts, and the white dealers go free. It got a lot worse since then; our state government gave up trying to help people, and trying to hide their bigotry and racism.
