Classifieds and Auctions Thread

Is the keyboard warrior the person who calls out a buyer beware sales grift or the person who threatens physical violence because someone blew up their deceptive grift attempt?

Why is projection the most blatantly transparent character trait of grifters and assclowns worldwide?

Nope, it's still up there and Jeffie hasn't logged on since May !. But it does looks like they changed the top of the page a little bit!

He sounds like someone from Highlands Ranch. Probably has a Tesla that’ll burn his house down someday, don’t sweat it.
You're correct except for the Tesla part. Amazing what people will put on the internet. I could just reply to his challenge to fight with a photo of his house.

It’s still there, all the errors you’re seeing are site stability issues.

BTW it it occurs to me we all got banned ‘immediately’ for what they perceived as a veiled threat. This guy made several actual threats and it’s still there 🤔

Threats to the site are more important than threats to people...

Guess I hit a nerve.

To be fair your original reply was a bit harsh

But damn he must have been in cardiac emergency territory when he wrote this. Funny :poop:

I worked in automotive too long and did far too many PPIs on overvalued turdboxes where someone who didn't know cars was about to be fleeced. I've got no tolerance for anyone selling a POS far above what it is worth.

"I can't tell you what to do. But if you buy this car, you're going to be spending a lot of time with me here in my shop."

If I ever come to power, most used car salesmen will be publicly hanged.

I wouldn't take these "threats" seriously; and I wouldn't post pictures of where people live.

hey ngl if I was moderating the old place I’d have given both him and @Derphound01 a warning if not a time out, but I’m not so…. Oh well not my problem ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I have Jeff’s dox but I’m not publicly sharing it 🤭

That's why I didn't post it there. He's just a tool. Google his name and you'll probably agree based on what comes up.

I honestly don't disagree. I wouldn't have been as harsh on this site about his car. It's a free-for-all over there now though, so meh. At this point I'm trying to get banned.

I'm not banned, I go back occasionally, usually from apost here, lol. I've seen so many people get pissed because heir shitbox wasn't worth nearly what they were asking.

Back on the very short lived admin exclusive vbullitten birdcats we kept joking “ of all people, he’s still there!😆

There was someone over there who listed a garage kept Retrobird for $80k after we migrated here. That was when I quit being kind.

Yeah, I was dealing with a ton of crap, having to do with my credit card being stolen.

I was not sure if I should post this in Space Stuff or not; but ultimately decided it is actually a classified.

Pretty cool car and story too.

Our 1995 Z28 Camaro Convertible, original family survivor, belonged to NASA Astronaut Legend Admiral Alan Shepard, Mercury 7 astronaut, the first U.S. astronaut in space, and Apollo 14 astronaut. During the Apollo 14 mission, Shepard made history stepping foot on the moon and taking his passion for the game of golf by hitting a golf ball on the moon!

The Admiral was a true sports car fan owning ten Corvettes over his lifetime and all were from the famed *Rathmann Chevrolet in Melbourne Florida which was the same dealership that offered Shepard and other astronauts new Corvettes. Enjoying retirement in California, he needed more room for his and his wife’s golf clubs so once again he contacted his friend and dealership owner, Jim Rathmann. Mr. Rathmann assisted in the order and to make it more convenient for pickup, he arranged for Shepard to take delivery of his new car @ Tipton Chevrolet in Hollister California.

Our Astronaut Car is equipped as follows:

1995 Chevrolet Z28 Camaro Convertible, quasar blue exterior / beige custom leather interior / beige convertible top, 5.7 Aluminum Head LT1 275 HP V8, 4L60E auto trans, ps, pdb, tilt, tach, clock, a/c, pl, cruise control, power mirrors, 245x50x16 radials on 16x8 factory alloys, performance axel, fog lamps, keyless entry, remote trunk release, leather wrapped steering wheel, front bucket seats, folding rear seat, color keyed carpet mats, molded convertible cover with bag and more.

Normal maintenance and upgrades include: Panasonic AM/FM/CD stereo installed when factory unit died, new Falken 245x50x16 radials, new Interstate battery and mechanical servicing including new brakes.

The Admiral’s Car is well documented with its original window sticker, owner’s manual, sales documents, 68k miles, clean Carfax, clean TX title showing 1 family owner and family supplied photo of the Admiral, his wife and the car. It still wears its original issue California license plate with original owner added Pebble Beach License plate frame.

Fortunately, it has always been garaged and gently driven. It is as nice and original as the photos show inside, outside, and underneath including a small dent in the rear muffler and burn in the carpet from the Admiral’s occasional celebratory cigar. Overall paint is excellent w a few hardly noticeable spider cracks on the front and rear bumpers but they still have the same high gloss as rest of the car.

In 2022 we were fortunate to have been invited to be one of the lead vehicles at the NASA Houston employee only parade and car show.

Last year, May 2023, our Astronaut Car was on display at Keels & Wheels Concours d’Elegance collector boat and car show in Seabrook TX where it won The Mayor’s Choice Award.

It all started with NASA, but the new “Space Cowboys” are Jeff Bezos, Elon Musk, Richard Branson, and Robert Bigelow. To celebrate today’s excitement for space exploration, our Astronaut Car has been on a promotional tour which includes being on display at various facilities, auto shows, magazines and online.

The Admiral’s Z28 Convertible is truly 1 of 1. It is the nicest survivor Astronaut Car, belonging to the first of the Mercury 7 astronauts, in existence and its documented ownership, make it one of the most collectable vehicle artifacts in early Aerospace history.

His 1968 Corvette sold for $308k at Barrett-Jackson in 2022.

The Admiral’s Camaro is offered for sale for $99k.

We will donate 5% of sales price towards The Astronaut Scholarship Foundation which Admiral Shepard founded with the other Mercury 7 Astronauts. The Shepard Family continues to support ASF and is thrilled the sale of this car will carry on the legacy of Admiral Shepard and his commitment to ASF.

Any buyer and all watchers of our Astronaut Car ad can donate $5k - $50k towards the ASF and 100% of donation amount will go to their cause. Contact my cell listed below and I will send you their info.

Tap. Tap. Is this thing on?

Manual SC300, only handful of these around still. Been on my realistic bucket list of cars for a long time. They seem to be going up in value last few years so it unfortunately might not be realistic anymore.

IIRC it was listed at buy it now for 30K previously, which is way too much. Wonder what it will get up to on auction?

Friend of mine had one in college. It was a great car. He sold it to buy an engagement ring. They're still happily married with kids.

Looks rather clean, especially inside.
