Trubenz website pix Are mandrel bent. If you do take him to court, It's a slam dunk on deceptive advertising.
I thought TheExhaust I bought for the tbird was by mandrel bent systems, which, if it ever existed, does not now.
Scary part is, I have a set in the garage just like it, never opened.
I know what I'm doing tomorrow, lol.

Once could say I got bent as much as the pipes did...

Sad thing is $400 isn't worth a small claims filing anymore.

I'm the kinda guy to take a weeks vacation to whup $400 out of him.
I can get that style done local custom for $150.
That's what I did on Lazarus .

Ok, I get it now:

Trubendz: FKA Mandrel Exhaust Systems

Laz got Mandrel Exhaust Systems, Tbird got trubenz. box I have is too.
Laz 2 1/8", others 2.5"

Any bets I have the same as you? :(

When I got the kit for my 96 the sides didn't match length. One is nearly to the bumpers edge, and the other is about 8 inches towards the center of the car. I had to go back to basic turn downs and hide them in the bumper, I wanted to use 70s firebird tips

I plan to test fit tomorrow to see if I'll even use it. Other than the crimps, it looks ok

If you got them several years ago like I did mine you’re probably fine. From what I’ve heard within in the last year or two the company got sold off and it’s basically a one man show making pipes for various cars with obscene wait times and spotty quality.

You know what pissed me off almost as much? Seeing Bill defending the bends in the FB group…”you don’t really need mandrel bends below 500 horsepower”. Talk about missing the point.

We paid a bunch more for mandrel bent. $400 vs $150 is enough to piss me off.
I'll open the box tomorrow, and see what I have. I think I bought them in '22 The tbird was 2011 or so.

I took that as he probably resells this shit. In reality, if choking down diameter doesn't matter, then why do his kits say spend more on bigger for more power??? He's been pretty decent with me over the years, but I didn't take kindly to that.

I bought my kooks from him in December and chatted a little bit by phone and I have no problem with him, he’s very easy to talk to and actually a lot more transparent than I expected. But I got my Kooks in a week and the primaries didn’t look like a slinky.

SCP is expensive and many parts can be had elsewhere for a fraction of the money, but he’s never actually screwed anybody with an absolutely subpar product like that and seeing him defending that level of “quality” after months long waiting is a really bad look to me. I get he’s one small business owner sympathetic of another but c’mon! If I saw that post before I bought my Kooks I might have had second thoughts.

So did you get any response from Truebendz? Or are “they” just ignoring you?

Oh I have nothing nice to say about SCP, so I won't. I only ever bought the rear UCAs because I thought it was quicker to order them than to make them, as I needed them for an event in July last year.

I didn't get them till September.

Ignoring. Can't leave a VM, as the inbox is full. 2 emails and a message left on the website, and nothing.
