Post a picture you took today

We're here in NC in the greater Greensboro area and the trip was great. My boy in particular had the opportunity to talk to the copilot on the second leg of the trip, BWI to RDU and sat in the Captain's chair.

Now that I'm visiting my mom, she is feeding us almost non-stop, lol. Yesterday we went to Wally World and got some snacks. These are snacks that I would buy back home, but not all at once, lol Afterwards, when back at Mom's, she made us dinner and it was delicious.

Unfortunately, the pictures I want to share are too large to upload. The only one I can share is the plate of food I had started to eat, lol.

Not today, but a couple of days ago. Rear main seal replacement on a Kia Optima. I'm grateful for my shop, but it is not insulated. Not enjoyable when it is 15-20 degrees out. Thankfully my wife traded for a Kerosene torpedo heater. I can usually get the shop up to 40-45 which is more than bearable. I always give a hard eye roll when I hear people say they'd rather it be cold than hot. "I can always put more layers on." Yeah, not when you have to use your hands and everything you touch is cold as well.

Verrry tight getting the engine out between the passenger side frame rail and the transmission. The flex plate bolts were scraping on the bellhousing when I was pulling it out. Not worth all of the labor in my opinion, but the owner is happy so that's all that matters.

Putting more layers on just makes me too hot where I don’t need it. Maybe I have bad circulation but when I’m cold my hands feel something like this…

Hyundai/Kias don’t usually live to this level of service so I guess kudos to the owner for keeping it going beyond financial logic…. Looks exactly like my Focus’ 2.0 BTW 😆

That is how I feel when I am out there. You ever have your hands get so cold they just hurt? Work gloves are fine if you are maneuvering an engine out of an engine bay. Not so good when disconnecting electrical connections. You pick up a ratchet that is at or close to ambient temp and it will suck the heat out of your hand in a real hurry.

I had three t-shirts and two sweatshirts on (my usual winter work attire). With the temp at 40 degrees I was actually sweating with all the moving around I was doing. Just fine by me.

The plugs in it were original at 125k miles so I don't know what level of service it has received. It had a misfire on one of the cylinders so I replaced them to fix that. Most expensive spark plugs I have ever purchased in my life. $100 for a set of spark plugs for a four cylinder Kia.

Yes! I generally don’t have too much trouble keeping myself warm in the winter without getting excessively bundled up(and if I do I end up a sweaty stinky mess) but once my hands get cold it doesn’t matter how comfortable the rest of my body is, it’s overwhelmingly uncomfortable/painful.

Tonight was my first time, EVER, to any Whataburger location, and after hearing much hype about their burgers, I've come to the conclusion that their burgers are definitely "Whatever Burgers". As you guys here all know, in California where I'm from there are no Whataburger restaurants and all I've had to go off on has been hearsay about how good or bad they are. After experiencing Whataburger for myself, I definitely now say that they're absolutely nothing special about them besides their quantity over quality.

Their burgers are dry and heavily depend on the condiments to give them any flavor, and their fries are no better than fries from McDonald's.

What they lack in quality, they make up for in quantity. Their patties are definitely large but lack flavor like said earlier. Their standard sized shakes are 32oz, which is the largest shake I've seen from anywhere.

All I know is that there has been this huge online debate with Whataburger and how "good" their burgers are and I was sorely disappointed. I was expecting great fries and a burger full of flavor leaving me wanting more to come back again, but no. Whataburger is just a place to grab a bite to eat whenever you want to eat and don't know what else to eat because nothing really sounds good and you just decide on Whataburger, or better said, "Whatever Burger".

I can't speak to all In-N-Out restaurants across the country, and this is because it's reported that In-N-Out has different beef suppliers in different parts of the country as they expand operations throughout the country, but In-N-Out is just far superior in quality of burger and fries compared to Whataburger. In-N-Out is definitely the burger champion between the two.

If any of you here have a Whataburger AND an In-N-Out in your region, try both, please.

I guarantee that at least 3 or 4 times over the winter, I will have to do some type of repairs outside, usually colder than -15 Celsius. I will try to dress warm, but I just wear a pair of blue nitrile gloves on my hands. It is the wind that kills you.
5 vehicles in my life are 1997, one is 2008. The cold tends to bring the weaknesses out in them.
