Post a picture you took today

My son and I took the car up into the NC Mountains today so that he can gain more driving experience hours towards his drivers license.

We ran into some snow covered roads. It’s the first time the car has seen snow in like 25 years! The roads were HEAVILY brined. She’s getting a thorough rinsing first chance I get!

We made a stop at Luray falls. It was beautiful in all its winter glory.

Was excited to see this in the mail today. Now I can save enough money on a weekend pass for the car and I to get into Heartland Nationals.. Which basically pays me back for membership. Can also get spectators a reduced cost entrance.

What kind of tires are those? Doesn't seem like those would get any traction in snow at all. Even good all seasons can be a challenge in ice a snow in these cars.
They’re Mickey Thompson S/S (Street/Strip) tires that I have in the back of the car. I was amazed - and very thankful - that they didn’t slip as we drove slowly over some snow covered patches of road. I have Nitto 555 G2’s in the front that actually have some tread on them. It was sketchy! I was concerned but we made it.

The GPS kept wanting to put us on the Blue ridge parkway as we tried to make our way from Linville, NC to Blowing Rock, NC. We had to detour twice due to closed sections of parkway due to either poor road conditions or residual damage from hurricane Helene. This trip was my first time into the mountains since the storm and I saw a lot of uprooted trees from the storm. We wound up driving across on HWY 221. The road is narrow with no shoulder, no guardrails and steep drop offs!

I wish I’d have taken pictures of it but we were paying close attention to the driving! We’ll definitely go back this summer and I’ll be sure to get some pix of it. We were very close to the famous Linn cove Viaduct but weren’t able to access it due to the road closures.

The last picture below is the sunset as we were descending down HWY 321 last night.

This is the drive I missed because of weather. Damn. 😂

Should I buy? I've been in a "get rid of shit" mode the last few months (despite my garage 😅), so I don't want to get this. But this though..... I'm torn!!!

It doesn't have the "Thunderbird" or "underbird" on the front though, so it kind of kills it.

I know very little about NASCAR but Jeff Gordon drove a Tbird???? When I was like 8 I remember him having the colorful DuPont Monte Carlo, which appropriately enough I had a 1:64 model of.

Well I finally did a thing, was debating splurging on a nice head unit for the Honda cause I love having music while driving, had never installed a radio before and wanted to learn, and my parent's car has carplay so I got used to having and enjoying it. I decided on the Sony XAV-AX3700, and well, I am loving it, it makes listening to music so nice and the sound quality was a very noticeable improvement over the 20yr old Honda radio. Worth every penny.

He started driving in the Busch series with a Ford team before Hendrick signed him to the Cup series.

Thanks brolios, I appreciate the love. It’s currently 9pm and I’ve been doing skin on skin contact with her and it’s just a crazzzzyyy feeling. The lord gave me this angel to care for and by God that will be done.

I hope yall are having a fantastic week!

@XR7-4.6 I got the subframe connectors on the way! 😂

Sooo pretty personal post, my bbygirl was born earlier today at a whopping 8lbs 9oz! Such a crazy feeling this is 🤯 pretty pumped for this new chapter coming up.

Congrats! I have three girls and my oldest is just starting to learn to drive now . You are in for some fun times! Looking back it seems like it was in a different life before having kids.

Kickin around the backyard pile earlier and found all the flavors. Does that Panther one clear Cobra brakes?
