Post a picture you took today

I only ever went to bike week. Never ride a bike to daytona, unless you want to walk like a cowboy for a week, lol.

I did the annual carb removal, they are warming up, before I go thru them. I'm going to see if I can ride the bandit 600 this year, it's much lighter than the 750's.

I have to admit, never heard om imsa. :)
All the nascar guys I liked have retired long ago or died, same as the bike guys.
This is the last racing I followed that I wasn't involved in:
Yes, those are 2- strokes.

Do you know of the Ferrari Daytona(365 GTB/4)? They weren't nicknamed Daytona because Ferrari was racing Dodge Daytonas

Glad you made it safely. Yeah, you want snow handling you need snow tires. Glad the Michelin's worked well enough for you. Enjoy the race! Wish we were there with you! My boy is a real Denny Hamlin fan.
Come on down. Kids 12 and under are free and the adult 4-day pass is cheap. We've got a campsite in NASCAR turn 4 with a grill and a full cooler.

Isn't this early for daytona, seems like the race is a month off.
This is the real Daytona race😁 the 24hrs imsa race.
^ this.

Those tiles are original to the house, built in 1960. I'm like 99.9999% sure those tiles and the mastic used to stick the tiles are asbestos based.

It's going to be a bitch to get these off properly. So long as I keep everything wet when I pull it off, it'll be good.

Is that a cement floor? I’ve wanted to pull up my linoleum and seal the cement in our kitchen, but we are not staying in this house so not happening, but maybe an option for you once you clean that up.

Yeah. Slab foundation is very common here in California. Raised foundation is somewhat rare.

TBH, I'd rather have slab foundation over raised foundation. That makes the risk of having to deal with weak / broken foundation posts non-existent.

Asbestos sux; I'd cover the cabinets with dropcloths, and cover the interior doors, and wear a respirator.
I was involved in rennovating fhe Bijou theater in knoxville in the 80's, and we bagged the building, and worked in suits like jt was ebola. Nothing like working in a plastic suit, in a bagged building. in 90 degree weather. we would go outside, shower in the suit, and drain the suit of sweat, which would be up to your waist. If you didn't force yourself to chug watter, you'd hit the floor. There was a guy whose job was dragging people out. But the job paid 30+ bucks/ hour, which was 8x normal wages at the time.

Wet it down and pick up a floor scraping tool ( with a long handle, not the compact ones ) .. as long as you're not grinding or creating dust you'll be fine.

The biggest downside to slab that I’ve seen is plumbing

Fuck plumbers. 🤣

Density altitude today was about 2500' below sea level - pressure was 30.25 inHg and the temperature was about 18. Made for some excellent takeoff and climb performance!

The lake is pretty much completely iced over now; the way it froze left a mirror finish over some areas which, given the time and weather, made for some interesting shots.

I had the 1:18 scale version of that Mustang in the exact livery only mine was #11, ended up selling it for a small fortune pairing down my collection. 80s IMSA cars looked so badass. Not as cool as the Cougars in the 89-90 season though 😎

I got these jack stand wall hooks for Christmas after I saw that I could wall mount them to take up less space, then I figured I wanted to paint the boards they're mounted on, but my mom and I just got around to it now. Super happy with the final product, I highly recommend them, It will make you love your shop again.

I was using a 9600 baud modem when those 56k warnings appeared, lol. My boss was bitching about not being able to send a fax from the xerox print/scan/fax /copier we had, while I was havi g a pdf file assembled by it, And I listened to the handshaking going on, and was able to say"the destination is dropping it as soon as it connects. are they expecting a fax from here? These days they won't accept one unless they expect it." I know what all those noises were. :)

A little water allowed to soak the floor (not flooded) will help tile come up. Also, rent the air compressor and air chisel. They make one that is bent to be easier to use like a push broom. Don't use a flat shovel and wear out your body kicking it. I f'd my back up (3 bulging disc's) and almost had surgery till my chiro referred me to Physical Therapy for 3 months. I might would consult a pro as they will not contaminate the whole house.
