Post a picture you took today

🤔 yeah, except .. 200 miles North of San Francisco.
Oh geez, you got me. I was thinking of Camp Pendleton.... Dang, I really suck at geography, or just names in general. :bangwall:

(yes, I had to look it up on Google Map to find the name.... what an idiot)

Got some pics back of my truck that I had a friend do back in the fall, He did the Tbird a couple years ago, and hopefully I'll have him do the Turbo Coupe later this year.
He's a good photographer. Nice sunset / good lighting.
I like those rims. What year is your truck?

Hey, been there too! LMAO. We drove highway 1 all the way up to Eureka from San Fransico. That is one damn long drive.

Highway 1 is an amazingly scenic drive. Well worth it if you're up for it.

Mine is tobacco. I have to pass randoms.

It's medicinal, and CA legal. I have a no drug testing clause in my contracts .. some jobs may require testing and we have the right to refuse the work. 😉

Sweet deal for you! Wish my job was so 420 friendly. I get tested about 6 times a year! I've got my first one this year on Thursday next week.

When we were on the west coast in the fall of 2023 I came to the same conclusion. We wanted to go from where we were staying in Ashland, OR down to the Crescent City area to visit the Redwoods. The first time we tried to go, we didn't know about the 3-hour window that they opened up US-199 for (they had it closed most of the workday to rebuild the areas cooked by the recent wildfires), and we got stuck in traffic waiting and decided to abandon the drive. After a couple days we decided to try again but went up I5 and took OR-42 west and picked up 101 south from there. What a drive! For the trip back to Ashland we took 199, and knowing the traffic flow schedule we didn't get stuck that time. :)

Mine are via FMCSA/CDL, so no dice.

You get a heads up Ron, nice! On my old job, it was totally random so people need to behave or else.

Yeah, this one's for Mexico. They wanted a piss test result before I left but we always do the test in country upon arrival. Just a case of miscommunication between the admin. and the customer SOP. I knew I'd be tested for this job as we're ALWAYS tested for this job. So it's not really a random.

Medicical and legal in whatever state doesn't fly where I work. It's still illegal at the federal level and we do federal work.

Maybe Elon can get that changed. :ROFLMAO:

I'm looking forward to the day I retire. ;)

Even though the voters approved recreational pot for the state last year it's a no-go for the wife and me. It's not approved at the federal level, so federal agencies won't permit its use. In my case the FAA, or in wifey's case the DEA. For her it's a challenge because she runs into clients who ask about its use in animals, and she can't even discuss it because it's banned by the DEA. Otherwise it doesn't matter to us because we are non-users. :)

I was in the same position. It's recreational and medicinal here, but I worked for the transit authority that's federally funded so we go with their guide lines.

Thankfully .. Alcohol is still 100% legal everywhere you go. 😉

I believe that is OEM Laser Red. I can't say if it's a re-shoot or not.

Definitely a repaint. Looks like probably the 2-stage version of laser red since it’s too dark to be the other red. Still looks pretty clean though!

Yeah it looks nice but it really is a totally different color from the 3 stage laser red was when new. Two stage only gets it into the ballpark.

I saw some bodyshop YouTuber about a month ago bitching about how customers bitch about the costs of bodywork… Yeah, because this sort of shortcut is practically standard practice with them, and You don’t know their quality of work until you find crap like that after the fact! There’s a total of 12 Phillips and 7mm screws and 10 plastic clips total for both splash guards, yet literally every repainted MN12 I’ve ever seen they not only aren’t removed, they don’t even at least take the minute and 37 seconds to mask them off in place!

For that matter and slightly off/on topic were the visible rocker seams left body color on MN12s or were they painted black from the factory? They’re black on mine but it might have been dealer undercoat since my car’s original owner in Dearborn MI ordered it with it but it’s a different texture than the undercoat and I’ve looked at un-undercoated MN12s with seemingly original paint both with and without black paint on the seams.

It was! We could not believe the size of the pine forests, or rather how tall the trees were coming towards the state parks. I mean we have pines, tall pines... but DAMN! Nothing like those. Red Woods state park was awesome! I recommend it if you can ever get up there. We stayed at a cabin along the beach where the sand is black, not beige. And the hotel owner left us a "just made" loaf of bread, still in the bread maker. They left a note on the door too because they were worried that we did not make it when we said we would. Who knew that 3 hours by California time can mean 8. :P It was fun and very entertaining adventure. The Town Car made the trip really enjoyable.

I've lived in North California my whole life. There is a whole lot more than just redwoods. Some of my favorite vacation / camping spots have been all over - Trinity / Shasta forests, Lake Tahoe, and Yosemite. On the coast end, Santa Barbara ( Pismo Beach ), Monterey, Santa Cruz .. 😉

It's fucking paradise if you avoid the shithole cities from Sacramento to San Jose. And pretty much everything south of Gilroy is even more of a shithole wasteland, unless you're in Disneyland or a race track. 🤣

Someone dumped a healthy puppy in a box behind Walmart last night. It makes me sick people just throw animals away like trash.

I already have 3 dogs so against my kids wishes, we are planing to foster it until we find a home. Guess we will see how that works out

Update here -
Been little over a year since I posted that. Coco is now ~85lbs, and according to her DNA mostly Lab and some Pitbull.
She has grown into a big well-tempered dog and gets along great with our other pets. She guards the kids (and me lol) when we are outside like it's her job.

Really lucked out with finding her! We are blessed & lucky she showed up in our lives.
