Yeah I don’t get it, they may as well have a group of Ford Escapes.

I really don’t get the hubbub over the maverick in the first place, as a cheap efficient pickup I can see the appeal of buying one but the dealer markups they’ve had totally defeats the purpose.

Cost / Value is one thing. Affordability is another. I don't know .. we all have different references for what is considered expensive.

If they're aftermarket corners it might just be how they are. I had to slot the holes in my header panel to get mine to fit satisfactorally

Yeah i ended up with some doormans because one of the oem housings were cracked. Aside from them having the crappy rubber seal and being somewhat off they do look decent. Still wish i had some clears but more worried about other stuff in the short term.

You can swap over the old seals if you still have them(you’ll need to glue them in place obviously). I’ve had to do that with all the aftermarket corners but the depo clears I had.

It is getting hard to find quality steering/suspension components. Years ago a lot of Moog was made in USA. Then they came out with their "R" line of parts which were a lower cost alternative. Then at some point they stopped making most of the "K" parts and most of the parts they have available are only the "R" parts. Sad.

The driver's side corner light on the '97 sticks out a bit too. I just went with Dorman for those since I couldn't find OEM corners. I just live with it. It isn't blatantly obvious unless you look at it from the right angle.
