Post a picture you took today

I have an appointment today for an alignment. Cost is $130 for 1 year warranty .. they want $220 for life time. What's the going rate where you're at ?? 🤔
That sounds really reasonable to me. I would go lifetime as upgrades/changes to suspension parts are inevitable on my car and truck. I feel like I spent that on my truck a few years back with no warranty.

$100 bucks here in MA, with a 1 year warranty.

Also depends where you go, I was in a pinch a couple months ago and needed an alignment on my Buick after I replaced pretty much the whole front end, and Firestone (which I hate chain places) charged me $150 and the alignment sucks.

This is on my Trailblazer SS .. I replaced the entire front suspension with OEM parts and that's pretty much as far as I go. There are only two points of adjustment, the lower control arm mounts and the tie rod ends. 🤔

Same with my truck. Pretty insane that 30 minutes of work is $200, but pay of it is paying for the machine, I guess

I think it takes longer to set the truck up on the alignment machine than to do the actual alignment. Cost of business. I just had a smog inspection a few days ago - still $60 .. I told my guy he needs to charge more money; even though its a 10 minute job. 🤣

Nice shot!

Thanks. It was a beautiful sunset tonight. The lighting was great. I like to hang an oversize flag from my dormer for July 4 and 9/11 if I'm home.

Most neighbors hang a standard 3' x 5' flag off their porch. I go big! That flag is 2X that size at 6' x 10'.

Thank you for hanging it the correct way with the stars on the left.

I fly a Tennessee flag year round. Had a NC one on the porch when I was there. One side of my family is from NC and I'm the 10th American generation. Other side is from TN and I think I'm the 5th or 6th American generation.

Not much for Lee Greenwood to be proud of the last couple decades.

Funny enough everyone has problems flying it the right way up too.

Thank you. Yes. And right side up. Those who were flying their flags upside down last year seriously pissed me off.

Me, a few years ago: "You can keep that set of good oil filter pliers, Dad. Everything we've got uses cartridges now anyways."

Me, today: "F--------------------ck."

It can be really tedious to set up, but I used the string method to align the LTD wagon after I rebuild the front end several years ago. I took it to an alignment shop because I didn't trust myself and it had brand new tires. I gave them alignment specs and instructions since it has aftermarket caster/camber plates. They of course ignored all of that and used the factory alignment specs. Turns out my homemade string alignment was actually pretty close. Like, really close. And that was just me with some jack stands, string, a level, tape measure, and a lot of patience. The only thing I couldn't really measure was caster. I think if I had a decent bubble gauge I could do caster and not need an alignment shop at all.

I decided to try and fix my parking brake on the Town Car this weekend. These are what the wheels looked like after years of never pulling the tire:

So, I washed them.

I had my 4 wheel alignment done a few months back and paid $130 and I believe the warranty was one year. I had it done at Brake Masters.

If you get pulled over, do cops check your vehicle's VIN on a traffic stop outside of the registration you provide them?

I'm having some "sketchy" ideas 😂

In all the times I’ve been pulled over they’ve never looked at the VIN.

YMMV.

My friend got in trouble for moving the registered plate from his one SC to the one with expired tags. I suspect it’s because one car was red and the other was blue
