What did you do with your Thunderbird Today?

@Jae 'Bird I remember those days! Where I use to live in NY where we got ridiculous amounts of lake snow. I would pause the insurance on my Cougar every winter and switch its plates over to my winter rat. Glad I went through all the trouble because the Cougar would probably be rotting out by now if I drove it through the road salt.

Nice looking Cougar! I forgot how good the stock 7 Spoke 16s look. Makes me want to put them back on. Always wished they made them with exposed lugs like the tbird 16s have. I tried running with chrome lugs and no centers and it didn't look good IMO

Ape arms and oil filter wrenches. They don't know that you only use the wrench to REMOVE the filter. :P
Not unless you flip it over (strap type of course).

That's a given. I have used a filter wrench to screw in some filters because my hands were too big to fit in the are to tighten it. But of course, turn till it stops with little to no pressure, tighten 3/4 of a turn. AND LABEL THE DATE AND MILEAGE!!! :P

Ron, I may have mentioned this, but I bought the green injectors you sold to steve, and when I cleaned them, I got a large amount of black spooge out of them before the spray pattern went to normal. Idk if you had converted to e85 yet, but our lines weren't designed for e10; I'd want to look at those, with your investment. Replacing them is much less expensive than a clog.
Inspecting the debris in the screen of an injector would tell you a bunch.

I pulled the console lid,and stereo bezel, before I got rained out. I'm adding new rca cables, and the battery relocation wiring, to the red cougar. And cupholders!

Started repair to my replacement trunk lid. The clear coat was peeling so I started w/ 320 grit and learned it was white before it was red. Kept going till it was almost no primer. After it dries I'll light coat prime and then red/clear. 20250208_170421.jpg20250208_170338.jpg

Got the new intake manifold gaskets in, and I filled in some of the pitting with the grey water pump rtv, gotta let it sit for 24 hours before adding fluid. Fingers crossed it won’t leak again.

I did notice on the old gasket, some of the rubber was stiff, I’m almost positive that’s what caused it to leak.

My Town Care has those. Useless when their full. :P I hate trying to get dimes out of those types. I saw all your coins in the cub holder and thought of the ones the Cougar has. BUt then again, I would rather have a fog light switch and air ride or whatever other switch would go where the coin holders go on the Cougar.

Who the hell still uses coins? :ROFLMAO:

I'm part serious. Between inflation, cashless transactions, and no more mandatory highway tolls (GA 400), the only coin that's remotely relevant now is the quarter for unlocking Aldi shopping carts.

If I get around to affording a pressure washer and that touchless wash foam cannon, yea I probably wont need coins anymore. I hear that its just one step of a complete wash, but I think it would be nice in between thorough washes. Anyone ever use those?

Coins are cool though, you find an interesting one every once and a while. My last two freebies were a copperless penny and then a soviet coin scuffed up in a parking lot

To bad the T-Bird does not have the coin holders like the Cougar.

It took me a full year having my Cougar to realize the 94-96 coin holders were that and not just decorative fake vents to fill the space of the SC fog light and firm ride switches

Either way I just dumped spare change into my the console if not my pockets. I know it’s me being paranoid but I don’t want to give some tweaker any excuse to break my windows. Same reason I don’t ever want tint, go ahead and peek in there, you won’t see shit because there isn’t any!

i used to eat a lot of fast food, and I'd toss the change in the pocket in the door. When it started falling out when I closedthe door,I'd dump it out, and spend it on beer. One of the fast food price changes resulted in my change being a quarter,a dime and a penny; next time I dumped it there was $150. :)

Yesterday I painted my air intake tube silver to match my valve covers and supercharger.
Today after work, I put it on the car and installed my meth injection nozzle on it.
I also put some coolant in the car and pressure tested the system, the new gaskets fixed the leak! But, I found a small leak at one of the coolant cross over hoses, not a big deal, it looks like the clamp need to be adjusted, but it was getting too cold in the garage so I called it quits.
