I don't mind larger wheels on older cars as long as it is for a purpose. Too often I see 18" wheels and then they have whatever aftermarket kit they got so they can say they have disc brakes with 9" rotors. The wheels on the Pontiac just look goofy to me.
Ever seen the Audi UFO brakes from the 80s/90s? They inverted the disc and caliper so they could run larger rotors on a 15" wheel.
 
Quoted for troof. Where else are you going to find a late 60's two door anything that is mostly complete and this condition for $3k? I'm actually surprised a derby guy hasn't snatched it up yet.

Never seen or heard of them, but it seems like a very German thing to do.

I don't think I've ever seen one of these with this clean of a body. Even back in the 80's when they were somewhat common. Bonus points for the manuel transmission.
