Took the Cougar with me today seeing as the tomorrow looks like it’s going to be rainy(the horror, I know). Never really got a shot of the gauges in action at full temp
Your dash is so clean!

I've been driving my Tbird to work at my new job this week too. It's fun to take it out again. This is the most I've driven it in years.

How much does it cost to get an oil report?
It costs $40 USD for a report thats like mine and then if you want the TBN it costs another $10, I have to pay extra for shipping but that's cause im in Canada, they provide you with the kit to sample the oil, its free. Def check them out if you want to see what your engine is doing, whether it be your t-bird/cougar or daily driver.
I'm not glazing them too hard or anything I just like the service they provide.

40 bucks with a free sample kit. Go check out Blackstone labs. I've used them the monitor the health of my old lemons V8. If I recall correctly, you give specs on engine condition and use case and they can give you advice on oil change intervals. I don't think I would pay for the service for my Prius or Audi unless I noticed unusually dark oil or that it was low but for people who have manufacturer specifications for super long oil intervals, or one of those BMWs where bearing changes are part of their regular maintenance, it might be worth running a test on the DD.

Oh this would be fun to do, but wouldn't we need a big stack of records for a baseline? There might be a stack for P71s

That's the cool thing, for most cars and engines they have a universal average from every other engine thats been tested, so the longer they exist and the more people test their car, the better the average becomes to compare against. look at the right side of my report, that's the average they are comparing to for reference, hence why they said my copper is a bit high.

I prefer this movie clip from 1975…..ish(I don’t know if it is but probably lol)‘s relevancy

That was literally me!

Plus I liked Ryan O'Neal a lot as he gave us one of the funniest movie characters of all time, Dr. Howard Bannister in What's Up, Doc? That movie never gets old. For anyone who loves that movie, the director Peter Bogdanovich also directed She's Funny That Way, which is a must-see.

Haven’t fired up my bench grinder in a few weeks and had a project to do, only to find the entire right side of it was covered in spider web. The vast majority of it doesn’t show up in the picture but there is 90% more you can’t see!!!

No sign of the spider, so I got to work…
