They're all sunshine and flowers and unicorns between ages 2 - 7, then they start getting independence and start becoming their own person. At preteen age (11/12) they start to tear boundaries, and teenage onward, they think they know more and don't want to listen to you.

Mine has become a complete daddy's girl and will listen to me, unless I'm scolding her. She'll have this blank stare when I'm scolding her, so I ask her repeatedly what it is that she's in trouble for .

Im gonna keep them. I'm looking at SLs and E55 wagons and they'll fit on those.

The street lights in my neighborhood have mysteriously been off the last week or so. I'm going to write the city about it so they can fix it. I'm pretty sure they're unaware about this.

Also, night sight pictures are awesome, because the bottom picture in actuality was near pitch black save for the neighbors' interior lights that still shone through.

They’ve lost their mind on pricing, basically double in price from the last gen entry models. Chrysler needs a modern roadrunner, something priced in the low to mid 30s with that body the hot engine and ZERO of the god damn stupid pointless technology (like electric door handle buttons)

I have 4 cars.

And of those 4 cars, one of them has been sitting for a long ass time, except for a brief stint to get into the garage. Shelf stable gas is pretty important there.

I found a set of splash guards for my Turbo Coupe, it really hurt me to drill into the quarter panel to install them. I’m undecided if I want to do the front ones, plus they need some touching up, I have to fill holes and fix the bird, it’s slightly faded.

Small project I did today. This model is almost 30 years old and one of my favorites, but sadly it’s afflicted with one of the issues that sometimes develops on diecast Ertls from the era, zinc rot…. What is that? Well, this!



Removed it looks like simple paint checking at a glance but it’s actually the metal underneath decaying and in this case expanding, which is why I eventually took it off entirely. Out of curiosity recently I checked eBay and found a seller who parts out diecasts and asked if he possibly had this piece from any Ertl Challenger and sure enough he did!



Note just how much the original rotten one deformed expanded from what it was originally!

Anyway I stripped off the yellow paint and resprayed it with duplicolor Wimbledon white, gently misted on rustoleum Carmel I found at the hardware store, and top coated with krylon flat clear. All rattlecans! Turned out pretty good! Matches the original “dirt” almost perfect
