Post a picture you took today

Witnessed this happen right in front of me on the way home tonight. I was behind the black Porsche when suddenly the trunk lid of the car in front of it flew open and bits of plastic came raining down, a piece of taillight or something even landed on my hood.

There’s actually 4 cars involved, I think they might’ve been separate accidents between the truck and SUV first, THEN the Porsche rear ended them all with them stopped.

Pretty wild, when I pulled onto this street I had plenty of time to pull ahead of the Porsche and get up to speed safely, but just waited for the road to fully clear just because I didn’t feel like having HIDs in the rear view mirror. If I did my beloved beater Focus would have been in that shit sandwich.

Glad you're ok. Just saw an accident aftermath 15 minutes ago. Dunno bout other places but EVERYONE drives like a complete fucking maniac at 3-6 PM. Ridiculous chain reaction of behavior. At the apartments I lived in, I will never forget when I saw someone speed into their parking spot. Nobody behind him. And he just sat there in his spot looking at his phone for several minutes. A rush completely fabricated by everyone else.

Coincidentally as I've been rewatching Mythbusters the episode I'm on now is the one testing traffic behavior - stopsigns vs. traffic circles, weaving vs. staying in the same lane on the freeway etc.

It's a trip down memory lane, that's for sure!

My least favorite episode: the one where they carve up the sides of a 94/95 T-bird using wheel spikes!

Yup, I definitely was cringing watching that! Actually the same goes for most of the cars they destroyed in the earlier seasons. At the time, they were just cheap cars to the production crew, but now I’m looking at them and realizing those are completely rust-free 80s and 90s classics!

And some genuine classics. Remember the Jato on a 67 Impala fastback or the 60s Imperial testing myths from the green hornet?

I loved that show since I was a young teen and still miss it dearly but those were/are painful to see, given they were CA cars with virtually no rust

those were the rocket engines I'm working on getting certified to use. They don't sell them without a license. Those rockets need a notam issued before a launch, and exceeding the fields allowed ceiling is a federal problem for you.

We all know what happened here.

Had to conduct a rescue mission at St. Joe State Park yesterday. This 125R decided to fill its cylinder with coolant, miles away from the staging area. Only had to cross two creeks and a few big holes to get the trailer back there to get it.

Threw this video together. Edited 7 hours down to under 7 minutes.

The new Trek I bought has disc brakes, a lot better than the older style with the pads on the rims.

On another note, good morning Denver!! ❄️

Sunny skies and a mountain backdrop do so much heavy lifting for Denver, days like that it just looks like the Chicago suburb of Bensenville 😆

These aren't actually pictures I took today. They're from the junkyard website. Reason being that the car just wasn't worth taking my own pictures nor posting it in our junkyard section - sadly.

Based on the inspection sticker, it was last driven in 2016. Since then, it must have been standing under a tree. There was so much mold; seriously, for some of these cars you need a gas mask! Interior was very dirty, cluster surround cracked.

I'd just love to know the history of some of these old cars... I mean this could have been someone's ride for the past eight years.

Wow I see a lot of Cougars with the aftermarket chrome wheel lip trim but rarely Tbirds! I can tolerate moldy, it’s when something crawls inside and dies that’s really brutal! My cruise control servo came from a Mark VIII I felt like I needed a respirator taking a part from the outside of the car. I couldn’t even get near the interior, which is a shame because it was a black interior with lots of useable parts
