Funny, I had never considered that, but it makes sense. In my defense, I didn't even know it (Mobil Super 5000) was a blend until after I had been using it for a couple of years and happened to actually read the label. I had assumed it was just Mobil's entry into the conventional market. I swear at one point it was conventional years ago and then it left the market for a few years before returning again. For a while I was running that and Mag 1 in my cars. Now I mostly run the Mobil Full Synthetic which I know is just an entry level synthetic. I don't get into UOA's, VOA's, HTHS, MOFT, or sending my oil along with a urine sample to Blackstone Laboratories every 3 weeks for it to be analyzed. I'm sure I would be heavily tongue lashed on BITOG for saying so. I swear those guys on there treat oil like it is absolutely life or death. It is ridiculous.
