What did you do with your Thunderbird Today?

Well, my interior is cloth, and I did not realize the mark Vlll don't have cloth interior.

I didn't do anything with my T-Bird today, but I did make time to get out to the junk yard and snagged a body panel for my van that was in like new condition. Also grabbed some black tow hooks to restore so I can replace the chrome ones on my dad's truck. grand total was like $34, I'm very happy

Partially installed my clutch pedal, I got the 3 bolted up at the firewall without removing the dash, I still need to do the top bolt at the cowl, that one doesn’t look fun, can it be accessed behind the cluster?

It’s pretty well blocked by the inner dash structure/ air ducting, only easy way to get at it is from the bottom with the dash at least partly out

Frame those, that's gorgeous. First shot is a great setup and the second shot is lightning in a bottle

Did the Torchbeam LED bulbs install along with some yellow laminx film on the fogs. Definitely upped driveability ten fold for 5 minutes of work

Please repost those to the Car of the month submissions thread. Here’s a link.

Spent a little quality time doing some maintenance: washed it, went for a joy ride, changed the oil and filter, scraped off the old safety inspection sticker.

I would say it is a good start. I always like to "prototype" major changes before making permanent. Like I have some expanded metal I have bent into a Z that I am going to fasten to the radiator support and let the bottom tuck into the lower chin of the bumper cover to hold it in place since the vertical plastic bars have been broke for like 10 years. I am going to paint it black and mount a LED light bar to light the road directly in front. not sure on the light bar yet. Drive them the way you like them. I get remarks from people all the time who say they miss the Tbirds. Everyone seems to have owned or knew someone who did and that they were all good cars. WHY did every one cash them in as a clunker if they thought so much of them??? I replaced the Rt front hub today. Carr had been giving clues it wasn't on track.

Marketing… everyone is now convinced you have to buy a new car, cuz it won’t last, or it costs too much to repair, or they gotta be as cool as their neighbor…

The irony is that mentality is more applicable to the stuff made in the last 10 years than anything made before.

Just cleaned some things out of the birds trunk, but I realize that a paper towel was damp only near the left corner near the trunk lid and inertia switch. Not too much water considering its been raining all week. Is this a known first leak spot? I no longer have a car port for it. Ill have a better look at it with daylight

I’ve had success with some silicon sealant on there also.
