If you can disconnect the glass connecter, you can check continuity with a multi meter across the defrost lines and see that its unbroken. For more detail check out this chrisfix video where he replaces the back glass of his car and does the same thing. If you locate a supplier of new rear glass with defrost, I'm interested as well. I've got a parts car here with a rear glass but I'm not sure how to verify the defrost works. The rear defrost in my car does not work, otherwise it's fine.
Translation: We don't usually sell door glass and we are too busy and/or too lazy to look. I had the windshield in our '97 replaced a couple of years ago and they (not Safelite, but a local glass place) had it in stock. I've never had to have the rear glass installed on anything so I don't know what they normally stock as far as those go.I called the local Safelite here in Seattle when I needed door glass about two years ago and they said they did not have any glass for a car "that old".
That's funny. I had one replaced on my 96 in March of this year at Safelite. Just under $300.I called the local Safelite here in Seattle when I needed door glass about two years ago and they said they did not have any glass for a car "that old".
