Posted a while back about getting rid of my Sable for the Lesabre. Well, the Lesabre is officially mine.

I swapped Lucerne wheels onto it, looks much better IMO.

Great. I do like Buicks. I've been watching a classified for 2006 lucerne V8 because my friend has been looking for an affordable car. I imagine Northstar fixed their issues by that time

Actually the later Northstar motors aren’t that bad. They still leak oil from everywhere, and they changed the design on the water pump so it takes 6 hours to replace it instead of 30 minutes like the old design, but they did fix the problem of the head bolts pulling the threads out of the blocks, so as long as you keep oil in it, they will continue to run for a long time.

I love Lucernes, but if you want the V8, then why not just go for a DTS? I can't imagine pricing is so much different (?).

Eh, I dont know. Cadillac's moment for me is the 70s. In general they tend to have connotations of drug dealer. Probably had good stuff in the 40s and 50s though. But that's a good point, he's probably open minded for anything affordable

You could still get Lucerne’s with the 3800, no? That’s the one to have. You’re not winning any races with a northstar anyway so why deal with the problems for a few extra horsepower over the V6?

The DTS is ugly. Cadillac lost its mojo after about 1980

Picked up a bit of a project yesterday. Have been looking for a set of these for my old F150 for a while. Filthy and the tires are junk but the wheels are actually pretty decent. Going to strip the clearcoat and repolish . Will post an after pic.

got the wheels cleaned up and polished. The clearcoat was rough but not all stone bruised so striped the clear off and polished.Need tires, couple center caps and lugnuts gonna make my old beater cool!
