Post a picture you took today

Did you come down for the rod run? Nice car! A co-worker had one, he bought it because his old mustang couldn't keep up with Lazarus on the curves going into the plant.:) So he bought one with irs, and a blower. :)

Great. I do like Buicks. I've been watching a classified for 2006 lucerne V8 because my friend has been looking for an affordable car. I imagine Northstar fixed their issues by that time

No this was from pits week.

Actually the later Northstar motors aren’t that bad. They still leak oil from everywhere, and they changed the design on the water pump so it takes 6 hours to replace it instead of 30 minutes like the old design, but they did fix the problem of the head bolts pulling the threads out of the blocks, so as long as you keep oil in it, they will continue to run for a long time.

"It's still a piece of crap but its a good piece of crap..."

Eh, I dont know. Cadillac's moment for me is the 70s. In general they tend to have connotations of drug dealer. Probably had good stuff in the 40s and 50s though. But that's a good point, he's probably open minded for anything affordable

You could still get Lucerne’s with the 3800, no? That’s the one to have. You’re not winning any races with a northstar anyway so why deal with the problems for a few extra horsepower over the V6?

The DTS is ugly. Cadillac lost its mojo after about 1980

Picked up a bit of a project yesterday. Have been looking for a set of these for my old F150 for a while. Filthy and the tires are junk but the wheels are actually pretty decent. Going to strip the clearcoat and repolish . Will post an after pic.

I didn't know that Kia stole a name plate from tires  (this is a Kia telluride)

I noticed mulch went on sale today, so I went to get my annual ration of 90 bags (5 yards). $36/yd is a pretty good rate, so I suffer through the ritual of making a few trips and loading/unloading all these bags every year.

Taking the Mark just to see the reactions of the store employees is always worth it - they always think I'm nuts to claim 30 bags will fit in the car (well, maybe they're right).

12 in the trunk, 15 on the back seat, and 3 on the passenger seat. Best part: air ride hides the fact that there's anything in it at all.

Who needs an SUV?

(P.S. It is so satisfying to finally watch the poa trivialis in the yard dying off )

Meaty tires and muscle looking rims. Love it

Factory LSC wheels. There is a silver painted aluminum version on the non LSCs; the LSC got the Chrome version.

The chrome spirals are what's on lazarus.I had another set, but only 1 survived the stuck throttle. So I have a full size spare.

Oh, you got the good mulch!
I do recall you doing this and was always amazed. How many years have you been doing this?
The boy scouts here sell/deliver mulch, so I usually go that route. But they have just ok mulch, not the fancy stuff.

Hmmm, I think I've been doing it as long as I've lived at my current address - this is the 8th spring. :)

I sometimes considered bulk mulch delivery but it's usually about $10/yd more for a comparable product, then there's the delivery fee on top of that.
