I guess not. Anyways; here's what I added or added to in 2024, DCA purchase price and current gains ...
PLTR at 35.60, up 118%
SOUN at 13.34, up 48%
RkLB at 19.41, up 37%
ACHR at 7.92, up 36%
LITE at 66.05, up 31%
NVDA at 113.28, up 26%
Sold all my F above 11 before it took a shit. Fuck Ford.
Seriously kicking myself for not buying more PLTR.
NVDA +5% To 151 today!
I'll celebrate when the keynote is delivered .. well see where it ends up after hours.
SMCI is up 10% also; but I'm still in a big hole on that one.
I haven't had time to review the keynote yet. It was on too late last night and I'm at work now. I'll check it out this evening.
For better or worse, I'm looking at getting a Home Equity Loan. If it works out, and it looks like it will, some debts will be paid off, there will be some major home improvements that the wife and I will be getting done, I'll put some into my brokerage account to further chase those dividends, and get a provisional account started for each of my spawnlings.
Oh, and the T-Bird will be getting in on some of that too!
Anything left over will go right back to the loan to get that paid back
Afterwards, it's going to be all about financial discipline so I don't dig myself a hole .
- Rate and terms better than current debt that you plan to pay off ? Be cautious not to incur future debt that will set you back to where you were + the HEL.
- Home improvements - wants or needs?
- Good to invest
- Don’t overextended yourself by opening too many accounts to keep track of. I have 3 accounts that I manage - 2 of my own and 1 for my mother - and I find that too much to keep up with.
- Make sure money returned to loan is applied directly to principal. Banks have this nasty trick where they will apply lump sum payments toward future monthly payments so that they can continue to hit you for the interest.
- Tbird improvements … always money well spent!
