Not bad for a $85 paintjob. Actually had these spraymax cans leftover for the Explorer guitar I ended up leaving oil finished so it’s almost free!

Spend a good chunk of the weekend wetsanding, compounding and polishing to make it almost whole again(still working on the front fender)

Something else to check, on wheels with spokes, check the tightness of the spokes. The easy check is to use a small wrench, and tap each one in sequence, they should all sound the same. There's a process, if you ever have to tighten one. Pay someone to realign them, if they need attention. I've done that for 40 years, and I still fuck up sometimes. If you fuck up bad enough, you have to start over. That takes a week, and it can not work either. The guy I know wants $500 to start from scratch.
The tank and fender look great. What paint, if you don't mind?

I fucked up a bicycle rim taking a wrench to the spokes as a curious kid so I have too much PTSD to get anywhere near them lol

The paint is duplicolor sandable primer - duplicolor perfect match universal black - and spraymax 2k gloss clearcoat.
 
It was the wife's birthday so we stayed at the casino for a few days just to get away. Had a really good time, lost my arse but had a good time doing it. This is a pick out from our hotel room of the Sandia mountains in Albuquerque. This is from the town of Bernalillo, north of Albuquerque.

I was debating getting those last year when I changed carpeting, not bad at all really, though I wish they’d have put the cougar logo at the outer corners like the factory feature car mats

Yep Mach 1 upholstery ( same as Eliminator). Building an Eliminator conv't.
 
Yeah. Limit it to checks, but do check when you do tire pressure checks.
Time to go visit Denver again! :)

Very, very nice! I have been wanting to replace my floor mats, but not with crap this time from Kracko or whoever. I bet those seats cost you, $150 ea? $200? RockAuto has sets starting at $50 and them more for the emblem. Where did you buy these from? A Ford vendor? (just ignore the questions if you don't want to say)

Something I have been meaning to ask you folks, did these cars come with rear seat floor mats? Mine did not and I believe the fronts where replacements too. No logo and I believe all Cougar / Thunderbird floor mats came with front floor mats with the OEM logo, right?

Pretty sure my brother's 94 had all 4 when he bought it. Cougar logo was in the lower outer corner, iirc. I think the tbird logo was centered in the lower portion. Not certain on that.
 
I went on to the RockAuto site and found out they are selling ACC floor mat sets as well... but are all out of sandalwood! SOB. Basically the same prices too. RockAuto was $20 cheaper due to shipping, but I did not see where you can request the color of the logo in RockAuto, where you can under ACC. And you have a lot of choices in color for the logo.

I like your emblem in silver, or is that white? Anyway, makes the emblem stand out. I am thinking between the 3 choices, Cougar head emblem, (what you have), Cougar logo and Mercury name, XR-7 logo or no emblem. I don't think I will go with the XR7 and probably the Cougar head.

Thanks for sharing this Zep, hope its helps others that are thinking its time for "nice floor mats".

Off the top of my head and I might be wrong on a few but 35th anniversary SC, 25th anniversary Cougar, “feature car” 94 Cougars, 40th Tbirds, LE 97 Tbirds and 30th anniversary Cougars were the only factory/ford commissioned packages with logo embroidered floor mats, all others were plain.

None of the rockauto options actually resemble these floormats, they’re sort of a mix and match of previous generation Tbird and Cougar logos with placement in the center of the mat which isn’t where they always were in the original mats

Excellent reply! And as I have said before about RockAuto.... Honestly, I would go with ACC as I don't have the best confidence in RockAuto.

So, are my floor mats and carpet Dark Saddle or Sandalwood?

I can't tell the color as the pic does not really do justice for the color of the interior... maybe it's the lighting.

Your carpet looks opal grey to me unless nobody told me I’m color blind lol

The floormats and carpet for that matter I got through rockauto is in fact ACC, if you can save going direct then for sure go that route but when I got mine last year the price at RA was the best I found for the lot. Maybe if you sprung for the logos it might vary though

RockAuto is $88, no logo. ACC is $88, no logo. As mentioned, I think ACC's shipping is more.
 
I would check the door jamb for the interior code to be sure. Also, OEM floor mats will have a Ford logo and part number stamped on the under side. 😉
 
I'm pretty sure Lazarus came with 4 floor mats, as an option on the window sticker.They're in a box in the basement, with the trunk carpet. :)

Sinkhole at work .. started as a small indent in the asphalt pavement that dropped down about 6 feet. When they dug it up, this pipe underground was rusted out along the side. They have no idea where this pipe goes or came from .. 🤔

Another unsolved mystery from the Native American burial ground site .. 🤐
