Humpback Rocks off Blue Ridge Parkway.

I suppose I should report the Thunderbird's performance on what is apparently one of America's most beautiful driving roads (?).

Problem is, I only spent about 6.5 miles on Blue Ridge Parkway, between I64 and the trailhead/visitor center.

That short drive was pretty nice though. Speed limit is 45 mph, and Sundays seem pretty crowded.

The V6 handled the elevation gain just fine. Just make sure O/D is off to prevent any confusion. For a car of this age, with it's original suspension, cornering is fantastic in my opinion. I've owned modern (FWD) cars that pushed through corners, had massive body roll, etc. The Thunderbird doesn't do any of that!

You've always had an eye for photos. Ever thought of picking up a serious camera?
Thanks, I never really thought about it. I just try to capture moments as they happen so I can remember them since mine are almost over.

Someone please tell me what all this is before I cut it out

Always loved the idea of masking good gauges in a stock cluster

My favorite is the 34 because it's more aggressive imo, but the R33 is a close second.

Aggressive is why I don’t like the R34 as much. A current day Rav 4 looks aggressive, as does every other plastic soccer mommobile. The R33 looks clean, understated and serious, much more in the vein of what I love about MN12s

Plus the GT-R wing is ricer shit

Stopped by the Waffle House in Dahlonega, GA on my way up to Jack Rabbit trail outside of Hiawassee, GA located in Clay County, NC. on Lake Chatuge, on the NC/GA border. I had some fun throwing Cougie around in the turns on the road north of Helen, GA. I try to get there early so I can rip that section and enjoy some solace alone on the trail. Being the first (and taller) rider usually means I'm clearing all the spider webs out with my face. The squirrels were out in abundance paying homage to their homey Peanut.

I finally took the challenge of re-installing the built trans in Phokey.

I cut the tab off the subframe to make it a little easier to get the trans in ( I added the line).

So close... It's hard to do this after the quadruple bypass. I lost the use of my left arm for like 9 months after they damaged my accessory nerve that tell the trapeze to do it's thing. I feel like I've lost the upper body strength needed to muscle this fukker up and in the dowels.

Took me two days, but it's in.

Did the plugs on the es350 today. Wish it was a gs350, would have been a lot easier to change them! Good for another 125,000 miles now though.

Looks nice when it is back together with all the under hood covers. I think this was the last model year they went nuts covering everything in the engine bay

Looks like the engine bay on the 2017 Lexus LS460 I had to work on. Plastic covering everything everywhere. 9.1 quarts of full synthetic for that and 8.5 quarts of full synthetic for their Sequoia. That was an expensive couple of oil changes.
